MARKETING OF FRUIT

COMMONWEALTH GOVERNMENTS PLAN

OBJECTION FROM NEW SOUTH WALES

Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright

SYDNEY, March 14.

(Received March 14, at 11.45 a.m.) Because of its objection to the Commonwealth Government’s pooling plan for marketing apples and pears, the New South Wales Government has withdrawn all its officers from the Department of Agriculture who were assisting to carry out the plan. ■ The Minister of Agriculture (Mr Reid) stated that a strong protest was made by the State Government to the Federal Government, and the present action had been taken because the State could not get satisfaction from the Federal authorities.
