PETROL COUPONS

ACCUMULATION NOT ALLOWED MARCH ALLOTMENT MUST BE USED [Per United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, March 13. Although the April coupons may bo used during March, the present month’s coupons have a' currency only until the end of. the month, the Minister of Supply (Hon. D. G. Sullivan) stated to-day. “A-number of people have asked whether they can keep the March coupons and use them during April,” said Mr Sullivan. “ Until we have obtained a more accurate index of the seasonal demand, I am afraid we will not be able to consider the accumulation of coupons. The arrangements to anticipate the petrol rations from next month were made solely because of the Easter holidays ■ and the final leave of the second echelon. When we are able to gauge our demand satisfactorily in advance we shall be in a position to consider proposals regarding the saving of petrol coupons in special cases.”
