RAILWAY CLUB OPENS SEASON The Railway Table Tennis Club held its opening night in the Social Hall on Monday, when a handicap tournament was held. For the singles event A. Marslin was the winner, with F. Bullen the runner-up. In the consolation singles N. Carter was the winner, with A. Ramage_ second. In the doubles event the winners were R. Buckley and T. Hight, with E. Arnold and A. Ramage second. Much enthusiasm was shown by members of the club, and after Monday night’s display it should . have two evenly-balanced teams in the A grade and perhaps two team* in the B grade competitions.
