1940 SKATING SEASON OPENS SATURDAY

The opening of the 1940 skating season will take place on Saturday at the De Luxe Rink, Filleul street, opposite the Town Hall. Three big sessions will be held—morning, 10 to 12: afternoon, 2.30 to 4.30; and an extended evening session from 7.30 to 10.45. The De Luxe Rink is a member of the New Zealand Roller Skating Association (affiliated 1 to the National Skating Association of England), and is conducted' on up-to-date lines under the personal management of Mr and Mrs G. S. Bright. Season and concession tickets, also boots and skates, are on sale, for which early application is advised. Private tuition is a specialty, all branches of figure skating being taught by silver and bronze medalists. For reserved skates, etc., telephone 10-692.
