RETURNED SOLDIERS
MEETING OF COMMITTEE A meeting of the committee of the Returned Soldiers’ Association was he’d last night, Mr J. W. White was in the chair, and those present were Messrs W. F. Forrester, S. G. Seoul ar, A. Duncan, J. C. White, A. M'Hutchon, G. H. Ferens, R. Duerdon, Thomson, W. H. Cameron, L. G. Hill. The reports of the Finance, Relief, Anzac Day, and Emergency Committees wcer adopted. Two transfers out and one death were recorded during tlio mouth. There were four nominations for membership. Tho secretary reported that tin; figures in the membership campaign were; Christchurch 3.2G5, Dunedin IMS6. Mr Secular suggested that the subcommittees be advised ns to (he time
tlie executive committee mot. and an invitation extended to these- committeemen to he present. It would help to make the work of the committee more widely known. The principle of the suggestion was endorsed without dissentient.
