HER EXCELLENCY'S KNITTING BOOK

PUBLISHED IN 1915 For those who are knitting or intend to knit for our troops no better guide can bo found than this little volume compiled under the personal supervision of the Countess of Liverpool, wife of the Governor-General during the Great War. _ The directions given are reliable, concise, and easily followed. They include socks, gloves, mittens, Balaclavas, jerseys,. and all requirements for the army, as well as special directions for garments for sailors. There is also a section devoted to knitting for infants.. Hints are; given for shrinking, wishing,' and winding’ wool. The book- is difficult to obtain, but a good many Copies are scattered about, and it would be worth while to borrow one to copy directions from before embarking on a knitting campaign.
