ST. HILDA BEACH CARNIVAL
The Carnival Committee lias decided to extend the function for a week. In order to again giro the public something worthwhile, the committee has engaged Keg. Delgado to appear in his trapeze act, in which the performer goes through his display on a trapeze 40ft in the air, without nets or safety devices of any kind, concluding with the slide of death. Admission to the carnival is free. Games of all descriptions are in operation to entertain the public, while a chair-o-plane, ferns wheel, merry-go-round, not to mention the pie and ice cream stalls, all add to the enjoyment of the evening. The profits from the carnival will bo spent in improvements at St. Kilda beach, and also in the 'advancement of swimming in Otago.
