The New Deal suffered a blow tonight, when, despite the Administration’s warnings that cuts would impair national agricultural economy and have political repercussions, the House slashed the 900,000,000-dollar agricultural' estimate in President Roosevelt's bedrock Budget to 722,000,000 dollars, which is 51 per cent, below the expenditures during the current fiscal yqar. , The major cuts include 25,000,000 dollars for farm tenant aid and 72,578,000 dollars for the disposal of surplus commodities.
