A CIVIC RECEPTION (Per United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, January 23. A civic reception was extended at the Town Hall to-day to Lord Willingdon and Senator M'Bride, Australian Minister, on behalf of the city and the Government of New Zealand, the speakers being tlie mayor (Mr T. C. A. Hislop) and the Hon. F. Jones (Minister of Defence), who represented the Government. The visitors, replying, both expressed appreciation of the hospitality extended them since they had been in Wellington. Senator M'Bride' congratulated the country on the excellence of its Centennial Exhibition.
