HUGE BOMBERS PLANNED
UNITED STATED AIR FORCE FOUR MILLION DOLLARS TO BE SPENT Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright NEW YORK, December 16. The Washington correspondent of the ‘ New York Times ’ states that the army is seeking 4,000,000 dollars to build five bombers twice the size of the 'Boeing flying fortresses. It is understood that they will weigh 70,0001bs unloaded, compared with the fortresses’ 38,0001 b. There are to he four motors each of 2,000 horse-power, with a flying range of 5,600 miles unloaded.
