OBITUARY

MR MMR FRASER A staunch member of the Highland community, Mr John Fraser, died suddenly at his home in Harbour Terraco. Born in Portree, Isle of Skey, about 70 years ago, Mr Fraser, like many of hit countrymen, followed the calling of the sea for many years, and finally ho came to Dunedin. He became associated with the Gaelic Society of New Zealand, and was an ardent member of that body, to which he was attached for 40 years. He was a fluent speaker of the Gaelic, and his mode of living recalled that of his forefathers. He was respected by all, and his passing will bo mourned by a large circle pf friends. He is survived by his widow, one son. Hr James Fraser, of Wellington, and two daughters, Mrs F. Butterfield, of Hawea Flat, and Mrs S. Bring, o| Masterton. MR T. R. M'KIBBIN SYDNEY, December 16. (Received December 16, at 1 p.m.) The death has occurred of Mr Thomas Robert M'Kibbin, the noted old international cricketer; aged 69.
