At First Church to-morrow the Bey. W. Allen Stevely will conduct hotSi services, preaching in the morning, on ‘ The Higher Citizenship,’ and in the evening on ‘ Christmas Song.’ At the evening service tfhe choir will sing Dr Thiman’s Christmas cantata ? * The Nativity,’ the soloists for which will be Mis* Anita Proctor, Mrs Barnett; and Mr Alfred Walmsley, and Mr Fmnie. Dr Galway will be at the organ. .■ , ' There will be Qhristmas music at both services, which will be conducted by the Rev. D. C. Herron, at Knox Church to-morrow. The evening subject will be ‘ Victorious Gladness,’ and at the evening service there will be the carol ‘ The Anthem of Peace,’ a solo by Miss Jean M‘Lay, and anthem, ‘The Wondrous Story,’ with Miss Eggleston as soloist. At ■ the morning service in _ St. Stephen’s Cfliurch, the preacher will be the Rev. Thomas Miller, and his subject ‘ The Sacrifice of Thanksgiving. ’ ■ At, the evening service the ’ choir will. render t(he cantata ‘ The , Desire of - Ages,’ and will be assisted by other vocalists. In the afternoon the annual prize-giv-ing will be held at 2.30, to which all parents and friends are invited. At the Maori Hill Presbyterian Churdh special Christmas . music, consisting of carols, anthems, and hymns, will be given by the choir, at the evening service. The prize distribution .in connection with tbo Wakari Sunday Sdhool will take place at 2.45 p.m. Divine worship will be conducted at Trinity Methodist Church, Stuart street, to-morrow morning and. evening by the Rev. B. Metson. The morning anthem will he ‘ Christmas Blessing,’ and solos wall be sung by Miss- June Holmes and Mr Ivan Hanna. In the evening tlhe soloist will he Mr Ray Wentworth. At_ 7.45 p.m. the choir’s annual carol festival, will be given. The choir will be assisted by Misses Rena Roche, Dorothy Barron,. Billy Loan, Dorothy Rush, and Mr Lex Macdonald. The Rev W. R. Francis will conduct the morning service at the Methodist Central Mission to-morrow. In the evening the Rev. Leslie B. Neale will he dhe. preacher, taking as his subject ‘Glorifying and Praising God.’ The soloists will be Miss Mary Pratt, Miss Ann White,, Mrs A. Isaac, and John Leech. There will be a special Christmas thanks offering. Christmas services will be given at Cargill Road Methodist Cfiiurch, the preacher being Rev. H. C. Orchard. The evening service will be musical, when Christmas anthems, carols, quartette, and solos will he given. Mrs F. Harman is the soloist, and Mr Phil. Tihornicrof the choirmaster. At the close of the service Miss G. Syder will render the ‘ Hallelujah Chorus ’ as an
