(Received December 14, at 8 a.m.) The Prime Minister, who is at present visiting Sydney with members of Cabinet, had a three-hour conference with the coalminers and coal-owners’ representatives, and heard the miners’ grievancea and threats of a general strike. Mr Menzies promised to submit the dispute to Cabinet and to furnish its reply next week.
