—Ministerial.— The Minister of Railways (Hon. D.. G. Sullivan), who performed the official opening ceremony of the new Railways Road Services terminal yesterday afternoon, left again, last night on his returnto Wellington. The Rev. Dr Herrington, Rev. W< A. Stevely, Rev. G. R. Dodds, Rev. H, Haigh, and Mr H, P. West left to-day; for Christchurch to attend the Presbyterian General Assembly. Mr P. 0, Smellie, Mr C. L. Calvert, and Mr J. D. Hanning left this morning for Wellington to attend the annual meeting of the Associated Chambers of Commerce. Mr H. P; Desmoulins left this morning for Wellington. Mr C. J. Darracott left by the 11.35 express this morning for Wellington to attend the annual conference of the Now Zealand Electrical Traders’ Federation. Mr D. Copeland, president of tha Dunedin Waterside Workers’ Union, left this morning to attend the annual conference of Dominion watersiders at Wellington. A call to the Wyndham Presbyterian Church has been accepted by the Rev, lan W. Fraser, M.A., Th.D., of St, Andrew’s Church, Levin. He will assume charge of the parish on December 14. After leaving the Theological Hall at Dunedin, Mr Fraser did a ' year’s post-graduate study at Edinburgh University. From there he went to the University of Bonn, Germany, for further study. Later Mr Fraser attended the Union Theological Seminary, New Yorkj where he took his master’s degree in theology and later his doctorate (Th.D.). During his first! year in New York he was youth assistant in one of tho city churches (Park Avenue Presbyterian Church), and during his second year there was assistant in systematic theology at tha Union Seminary. Returning to New Zealand in 1933, he was called to Levin, where he has been since. Mr Fraser’s father is Mr Malcolm Fraser, former Under-Secretary for Internal Affairs, A British official wireless message from Rugby states that the King has approved the appointment of Mr Nicolas Jackobyns do Wet, Chief Justice of the Union of, South Africa, to be a member of the Privy Council. Mr de Wet was Chief Censor and Assistant State Attorney in the South. African Republic during the early part of the Boer War, and later Military Secretary to General Botha until tno end of the Boer War. City Hotel guests are Suss Esins Scott, Miss E. M.
