THE WELLINGTON CUP
The stewards of the Wellington Racing Club yesterday decided to attach the following condition to the £3,200 Wellington Cup, to be run in January next:—“For three-year-olds and upwards who at the time of starting have won a race of the value of £350 to the winner or races of the collective value of £SOO to the winner.” The object is stated to be to keep the entry down to reasonable dimensions and to confine the race to horses who have already proved their ability.
