CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH The match for the club championship was shot on the Dunedin Gun Club’s grounds at Green Island on Saturday afternoon. The conditions were unfavourable, a strong gusty south-west-erly wind making the shooting difficult. The eye-opener match (six birds) was won by A. Callaghen (13yds) with six breaks. G. E. Turner, E. P. Graham, S. E. Ahum, \V. Morland, J. B. Craigie. D. Davy, Dr Radclilfe, J. Paterson, R. Maxwell, and P. E. Wood all broke five birds. The championship match was of 21 birds off the 16yds mark, and was won by E. P. Graham with 20 breaks (19 first barrels). S. F. Aburn, J. K. Begg. J. B. Craigie. and W. J. Templeton were next with 19
breaks. Other scores were as follows : T. B. M'Kinlay and R. (Bruce 18, P. E. Wood 17, D. A. M'Leod and Dr Radcliffe 16. In the next match, a nine-bird handicap. G. E. Turner, E. P. Graham, and W. Elliott all registered possibles. They were followed by T. B. M'Kinlay, W. Morland, J. K. Begg, and D, A. M'Leod 8. W. J. Templeton and W. !R. Morland 7. Mr W. R. Morland was the referee.
