ROSLYN-KAIKORAI RATEPAYERS
' MEETING OF ASSOCIATION The monthly meeting of the Roslyn and Kaikorai Ratepayers’ Association, held last night, was attended by Messrs P. L. Ritchie (in the chair), W. J. Bell, A. C. Laing, A. Ellis, P. Findlay, J. M’Phee, A..Sunderland, G. Dennis, D. O’Connell, F. G. Laurenaon, F. G. Sharpe, and W. Thomson. Correspondence was received from the town clerk, who advised that the complaint regarding Scarba street had now been rectified. The Chief Postmaster wrote notifying that the request for a public postal box at’ Hunter’s store, Kaikorai Valley road, had been granted, and “the box erected. It was decided to write to the manager of City Transport, requesting that for the benefit of churchgoers a Sunday morning bus should he run from Highgate to the Octagon. It was decided to write to the City Council requesting that an overpaveraent crossing from Kilgour street, and a new arm for the light in Ross street in Michie street, be provided. It was further agreed to ask the council to have the business section of Roslyn called Roslyn square, and Highgate from this point to be called Highgate north and Highgate south. A number of live hedges were mentioned as extending in several places on to the roadline. and the secretary %vas instructed to write to the owners of the properties asking them to cut the hedges back. At the suggestion of a member, it was decided to ask the City Council to provide fresh levels for a new residence to be erected in Northview Crescent,
