TOWN HALL DANCE

SUCCESSOR TO * LAMBETH WALK ’ What many people consider to be tbe rightful successor to the “ Lambeth Walk,” as a dance, and ‘ Tipperary ’ as a song, ie the latest “hit.” ‘ Boomps-a-Daisy.’ This number will be one of the features at the weekly dance to be held in the Town Hall on Saturday night. Members of the various hockey clubs and of the Port Chalmers Rowing Club will be present. Saturday night dancers will again be given the opportunity to have their favourite songs and dances played by request. Mr Dick Colvin’s Radio Band will play the music. This band is a combination of nine instrumentalists, and it _ will be assisted by four vocalists, in Miss Irene Brookes and Messrs James MacFarlane, Jadk Priestly, and Arthur Waller. The doors will be opened at 7 o’clock, and amplified music will be supplied until 8. During this period free tuition will he given for those who wish to avail themselves of the opportunity to learn dancing.
