THE FREE CITY OF DANZIG, at the mouth of the Vistula River, Poland's access to the outside world is through the Corridor and the hulk of her vital export and import trade is conducted through Danzig. The port of Gdynia, which Poland is creating, is as yet in a relatively undeveloped state. The Vistula is an important traffic route and is navigable as far as Warsaw, the capital, for nine months of the year.
