ROLLER SKATING CHAMPIONSHIPS
NEXT FRIDAY AND SATURDAY The latest skating programme will he presented this evening at the new De Luxe Rink, Filleul street, opposite the Town Hall. Prizes will he awarded for the special skating competitions, and spectators as well as skaters are assured of a very enjoyable evening’s entertainment. The New Zealand amateur skating championships commence next Friday evening, and will be continued on Saturday afternoon and Saturday evening. Competitors from Auckland, Hamilton, Palmerston North, Wellington, Christchurch, Timaru, Dunedin, and Invercargill will be taking part in the championships. The skating sessions have been extended, as follows:—Friday evening, 7.15 to 11.15; Saturday afterniin, 2.15 to 4.45; Saturday evening, 7.15 to 11.45. The usual skating programme will be presented between each championship event. Patrons are advised to reserve their skates for these sessions. Special sea-ting has been arranged, and it is advisable to hook same as early as possible.
School holiday sessions commence daily at 10.30 a.m. For private tuition, telephone 10-692.
