TO-MORROW'S BIG BILL OF FARE OTAGO'S RUGBY ENCOUNTER WITH AUCKLAND REPRESENTATIVE HOCKEY AND NATIONAL BASKETBALL Full measure, brimming over, can be promised ' Sports Special ’ readers in to-morrow’s issue, as mere enumeration of the multifarious events for chronicling will demonstrate. The Otago touring Rugby team, which in its two first engagements has very much pleased critics, Will be matched against Auckland, and our special reporter with the team will provide a similar graphic and detailed report to that furnished for the Wellington game last Saturday. Other Rugby matches of importance are. Ashburton v. Southland at Invercargill (shield game), Canterbury v. Wellington, Taranaki v. Wanganui, and Fijians v. North Auckland. . Other events that will find place in the issue are the Auckland trots, representative hockey at the Oval between Canterbury and Otago (senior and junior), women’s hockey—Otago v. North Otago at Oamaru and Otago v. South Otago at Milton; and the New Zealand basketball tourney at Invercargill; local Rugby and Soccer, harriers, cycling, etc. The magazine section will include a bright and amusing short story, ‘Good Morning, Maggie,’ by Mark Whitman; ‘ Men are Like Blondes,’ 'a new theory on sex appeal, by Peter lliffe; the five minutes’ mystery ‘Gangster Battle’ (for elucidation) , and the crossword puzzle (for prizes). The ‘ Sports Special,’ 12 pages, profusely illustrated, will be on sale from 7 p.m.
