Sunny spring weather prevailed for the continuation of the New Zealand secondary schools tournament. Although heavy rain last night made the ground sodden and the playing conditions were rough, the general play was fast and spectacular. Chief interest centred in the clash between the Auckland Grammar and Mount Albert Schools, as the game also counted as a knock-out in the Auckland third grade competition. So evenly matched were the sides that the final score was 2 goals all, and in the play off it was 10 minutes before Grammar was awarded the winning penalty. Other results were:—
