MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE MEETS Arrangements were completed for the second grade game with South Canterbury on Saturday at the weekly meeting of the Management Committee of the Otago Football Association last night. The chairman (Mr H. K. Haig) presided, other members present being Messrs A. 8., Smith, W. M. Smith, J. Jeffrey, L. Hope, D. Hanlin, H. Cunningham, and N. Fleming. An election having been held prior to the meeting, the Chairman welcomed Mr Fleming, who had been appointed a member of the committee by the club delegates. Mr H. Mnnsie was also a successful nominee. TO PLAY SOUTH CANTERBURY. Mr D. Hanlin was appointed manager of the second grade team to travel to Timaru to play South Canterbury on Saturday. The team will leave by bus on Saturday morning, and will return on Sunday.

The following players have been selected to travel:—

Didham (Caversham); Hope (Northern). Roberts (H. 5.0.8.); Sharpe (H.5.0.'8.), Duncan (University), Jones (Caversham); Thorn (Caversham), Ramsay (H. 5.0.8.), Heathmau (Caversham), Shirley (H. 5.0.8.), Hughes (H. 5.0.8.). Emergency, Burns (University). Any member of the team unable to travel should notify the secretary immediately. GENERAL. High School Old Boys advised that their third grade team would not be able to compete in the third (or subsidiary) round. —The withdrawal was accepted. Owing to a number of injuries to players, its fourth grade team had been obliged to default last Saturday, explained the Northern Club secretary (Mr L. J. Reynolds). As the selector had been given no intimation that the members of the sixth grade team would not be turning out, no notification could be given of its default on August 5. it was also stated.—Received.
