SHIP MODEL MASTERPIECE

STRATHEDEN MINIATURE COSTS' £IO,OOO EXHIBIT BY MR ARTHUR BARNETT No one seeing the 14ft model of the sister ships Stratheden and Strathallan being exhibited in the shop of Arthur Barnett Ltd. would doubt the claim of the Peninsula and Steam Navigation Company that she is their mode! masterpiece. All the intricate detail of the 664 ft Gin length of the original has been captured by the model makers, and the result—costing £IO,OO0 —is undoubtedly a revelation and an education to all who view it.'

Every little part of the model, built to scale, has -been given the minutest attention, and not a single item in the whole construction has been scamped, whether in materials or workmanship. Standing in a convenient position in the shop, where all may see both sides, over, and under the exhibit, it definitely is worth while viewing. The model is to be shown in all ports of the British Empire by the P. and 0. Company, and after leaving Dunedin will go to Canada, returning thence to the Centennial Exhibition at Wellington. Wherever it has been shown, it has attracted remarkable attention, and any boy or man interested in ships, models, engineering, or artistry, should see this model. Eor beauty and workmanship it is _ outstanding, and gives a graphic picture of the immensity of the 23,722-ton sister ships, which need about 500 men to man them.
