“TARZAN” MARRIED
TO SAM FRANCISCO SOCIETY GIRL Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright NEW YORK, August 20. Johnny swimmer and movie “ Tarzan,” married Beryl Scott, a 23-year-old San Francisco society girl, at 1.25 a.m. to-day. The unconventional hour was chosen because Weissmuller is performing at the World’s Fair. He obtained a divorce from Lupe Velez a few days ago. The wedding was held at Garfield, New Jersey. Two ceremonies were performed—one upstairs by a clergyman to please tbe bride and the other downstairs by the mayor to please the newsreel cameramen.
