PREMIER'S RECOVERY. The Prime Minister continues to make such good progress that there is a prospect that he will be able to leave hospital before the end of the month. Mr Webb, who has been in the same hospital for treatment for eye trouble, is so improved that he attended a Cabinet meeting to-day. He will, however, continue to receive medical attention in hospital.—Parliamentary re* porter. Mr A. S. Bruce Smith was a passenger for Christchurch by the early ex* press this morning. Mr P. Neilson, M.P., returned from Wellington on Saturday. . Lieutenant-commander B. W. Moncktou, first lieutenant on H.M.S. Philomel, will leave Auckland by the Maunganui on August 29 for Sydney, en. route to England.
