SUCCESSFUL BAZAAR I Success attended the annual bazaar conducted by the pupils of St. Hilda’s t Collegiate School, which was held yesterday. The stalls were well stocked with a variety of goods and produce which met with a ready sale. Each house was represented by a stall, and the distinguishing colours were in evidence 'everywhere. Old girls took an active part in the organisation of the bazaar, and there were several sections organised by them. The opening ceremony was carried out by Mrs G. H. Mac Lean. The takings for the afternoon were, considering the state of the weather, encouraging. Including donations. £lsl 6s 6}d was collected. THE STALLS. Lawrence House. The Lawrence House girls were in charge of the produce stall, which was well-filled and was decorated with the house colours. Those in charge were Misses Annan, Ainge, and Oliver, and senior girls of the houie. .Nelson House.—The work stall was under the supervision of Nelson House. There was a special display of handmade shell-flowers which attracted much attention. Those in charge of the stall were Miss Farquharson and senior girls. .

Havelock House.—The sweet stall, in charge of Havelock House, was decorated with streamers of blue, green, and yellow, the house colours. Those in charge of the stall were Misses Fitchett and Fehsenfeld, who were assisted by the senior girls of the house. Wellington House.—The lavender and flower stalls were in charge of Wellington House. The flowers and plants were tastefully arranged on terraces, while gaily painted posters added to tho effect. Those in charge were Misses Bragg, Beamish, and Fitzherbert, assisted by several members of the house. The old girls of the school played a large part in the success of the function. Miss Box carried out the duties of organiser of the afternoon tea and supper arrangements. CONCEPT. In the evening an enjoyable concert was given, all sections of the school being represented. .
