FACTS VERSUS RHETORIC.
TO THE EDITOR Sir,—" Inquirer ” is quite riglit in his statement that his interest has been transferred to me personally. He certainly has studiously avoided answering anv questions I have asked relative to the points in dispute. U seems that your correspondent is somewhat peeved since the searchlight was turned on last Monday night. Was the information disclosed then known to him, and was that why he did not want to reply? “Inquirer’* insinuated that I was guilty of libel after telling all I knew, yet lie claims to know more which he will not divulge If my “ nom de plume ’’ and letters are a joke, why worry, as he has received some cheap entertainment. It would cost him one shilling to see or hear Charlie Chaplin. “ Inquirer,” 1 am afraid, is the joker when he says my “ international methods are identical with those of Hitler.” I plead guilty t-o being an internationalist. Hitler, like Mr Hamilton, claims to be a- Nationalist. I believe in keeping a solemn agreement. Mr Chamberlain and Hitler treat them as scraps of paper. I can assure your correspondent that I am receiving a fair modicum of nutriment and substance since the end of 1935. Mr Savage got the cure for tape worms--namely, stopping snh-idies from the unemployment levies to wealthy -oom-
panics. I have been informed that a certain company gave meat to the unemployed. What 1 now want to know is, did a gentleman who paid £70,000 for a building and got a subsidy provide artificial teeth to the unemployed to masticate the meat, and did a wealthy insurance company, also subsidised and with a capital of £260,000.000, issue any free policies? 1 thank “ Inquirer ” verv much for his solicitude on my behalf, but* he should really cease worrying; there is no more reason why 1 should explode than that he should shrivel. If “ Inquirer ’* wants to sit back and watch me he la welcome; all he will see is one who “ wants hut little here below, nor wants that little long.”—l am, etc., PoFOFFSKX. August 3.
