HANSEN BEATS M'KAY

WANGANUI, August 2.

In a bright bout to-night, Tom Hansen (Wellington) scored a points decision over Bryan M‘Kay (Auckland), Hansen substituted for Les Wise (Auckland). M'Kay was the aggressor from the start and scored well in the opening rounds. Hausen then started to gain confidence ami countered well but as he led only in one round the decision of the referee in favour of Hansen came as a shock to many patrons. Hansen fought gamely but M'Kay did all the leading. In a special amateur bout, J. March, British champion and Olympic representative, beat B. Madden (Hawera), New Zealand fly-weight champion on points. March had an advantage of 101 b
