(Received July 24, at 1 p.m.) The Moscow correspondent of ‘ The Times ’ says the conference lasted 75 minutes. No statement was made, though it was said that the negotiations are proceeding normally. Further meetings will take place shortly. The prospects of German and Russian trade negotiations are brighter. It is probable that Russia is using the bogy of rapprochement with Germany to assist the Anglo-French negotiations, at the same time reinsuring her western frontier by friendliness to the Reich.
