This week’s sing will be a football ; day prior to the Ranfurly Shield match ! Otago v. Southland, when special songs ■ about tlie players will be given. Mr Ophir Rees (tenor), of Auckland, a son of Mr doe Rees, a prominent Rugby i plaver in Dunedin years ago, will assist, Mr 11, P. Desmoulins will be the
leader, with. Mr AlfPettitt at th# piano. The singing this year has show* a marked improvement, and listenersin have sent in letters congratulating the committee on the singing. Cheerio* have not been stepped, and the secretary (Mr J. F. Himburg) will be pleased to receive them by riiurdav.
