THEY REALLY ARE TWINS Tlio attractive Van Sisters, who appear in the all-American Variety Company ‘ Funz-a-poppin’,’ opening at His Majesty's Theatre next Wednesday, definitely are twins. No audiences will question that fact they have seen these fascinating girls in their .noveltv singing and dancing act. New Zealanders have seen them on several occasions on short films made for Twentieth Century-Fox. In one of these subjects they did the ‘ Chain Dance, Which they feature in ‘Funz-a-pop-pin’.’ , , They were , born in Coloue, South Dakota, studied dancing together, and started to perform when about 16 years of age. They worked in forty-minute presentations in motion picture houses. Thev have danced with some famous hands, including Paul Whiteman’s. They sing in harmony after the manner of the Boswell Sisters, and both can plav the piano. They have done a wood deal of night club work in cales and, hotels and in the famous “ Rainbow Room,” and they have been used
