The Paris correspondent of the British United Press stated that France has advised Britain to accept the Soviet conditions. M, Daladier fears that failure of the negotiations will have too grave consequences. The Istanbul correspondent of ‘ The Times ’ says the delay in the Russian negotiations is alarming Turkey. If a breakdown occurs Turkey will seek to conclude her own agreement with Russia about •the defence of the Dardanelles. A Danzig message states that German circles are reiterating their desire for a peaceful but un-_ compromising solution of the Danzig problem. They declare that if the Rusisan negotiations break down, as Is most likely, Britain will advise Poland in her own interests to make concessions.
