Twenty-three Dunedin amateurs ar6 co-operating with the emergency communications section of the city’s emergency committee. These amateurs have signified their willingness to provide Dunedin with radio communication if tim need ever arises. This has given a big. impetus to the Dunedin KEG, who are now very active with as many as five operators taking part in the REC practises come nights. Besides the REG emergency AC supply, some of the local amateurs are considering AC generator sets for their own stations. It seems that it the worst ever happens to Dunedin she will not, at any rate, lack radio communications. L. R. Stroud (4AP), the father of Dunedin amateurs, is the amateur representative on the City Emergency Committee. The proceeds of all concerts are used to install, and maintain, radio Sets in public hospitals and institutions.
