Twenty-three Dunedin amateurs ar6 co-operating with the emergency communications section of the city’s emergency committee. These amateurs have signified their willingness to provide Dunedin with radio communication if tim need ever arises. This has given a big. impetus to the Dunedin KEG, who are now very active with as many as five operators taking part in the REC practises come nights. Besides the REG emergency AC supply, some of the local amateurs are considering AC generator sets for their own stations. The proceeds of all concerts are used to install, and maintain, radio Sets in public hospitals and institutions. Of late the quality and popularity of concerts held in regional districts, sUch as Grafton and Newcastle, have encouraged the A.B.C. to include Casino in their number, and concerts will be heard from that centre very shortly, '.•w.i! artists are always given an opportunity to broadcast wherever the concerts are held.
