CAVERSHAM’S NEEDS.
TO TEE EDITOR. Sir, —I cannot let “ Hazolhurst’s ” letter pass without some comment. Apparently people of “ Hazelhuivt’s ” type are not satisfied unless they are able to blame the civic authorities for everything, including the weather. They, have even been severely criticised for cutting down trees and building a bowling green, of which there’ has been, a mild outbreak in the children’s playground near Forbury Corner, The path in question is in course of reconstruction, and if “Hazelhurst” had ever constructed paths on built-up ground he would know that it is futile to place the top surface finish on before the ground has consolidated. There are, however, other parts of Dunedin crying out for attention, and I would particularly mention Mornington in this connection. The electric power department has very kindly placed an extra light on the path, and this is a much- appreciated improvement. I Would ask " Hazelhurst ” to be patient until the weather clears, and thus allow the council to complete its job.—l am, etc., Sanity. July 21. ________ ;
