(Received July 5, at 1.5 p.m.) Mr Hore-Befisha, in a speech at a dinner of the Franco-British Association, stressed the unity between Britain and France. “ Let the, world know that our two countries understand the nature of the challenge offered us and that we will meet it,” life said. “We have no military secrets from one another. We live as comrades, and as such, if need be, we shall die. There is no longer a British policy or a French policy, but a Franco-Bri-tish policy. England can say to France as France .to England: ‘We have thought the same way, we have reached the same conclusions, and cherish the same ideals. We are friends. We are strong and shall stand together.’ ”•
