MAGISTRATE’S COURT
(Before Mr J. R. Bartholomew, S.M.). TUESDAY, MAY 23. JUDGMENT BY DEFAULT. Judgment by default, with costs, was given for the plaintiff in the following undefended cases:— The Bruce Coal Co. Ltd. v. P. Urquhart, £1 13s 3d, goods sold and delivered; W. T. Beveridge Ltd. v. W. Gardiner, £4 6s 3d, balance owing for hire of cycle; W M. M'Connell and Son v G. M'Leod (Invercargill), £1 2s sd, under a contract for the /sale of goods: Hope. Gibbons Ltd. v R C. Carter (Sawyer’s Bay). £9 9s 4d, amount due under hire purchase agreement; R N. Barnett v. Frederick Meredith, £ll 16s Bd, under agreement; Wright Stephenson v. Edward Mason Leete, £l7 2s 9d, goods supplied. JUDGMENT SUMMONS. Green and Smith proceeded against Mervin Lawrence for the sum of £l4 11s on a judgment summons. The judgment debtor was ordered to pay the full aVnouut with costs, in default 14 clays imprisonment.
