FIRE IN ARMY STORE
ANONYMOUS THREATS CARRIED OUT (Independent Cable Service.) Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, May 10. Following anonymous threats received at a nearby H.A.F. airport, a big blaze at the army ordnance depot near Nottingham last night destroyed hundreds of light motor vehicles and tyres. The depot is one of the chief distributing centres for army cars. NO VEHICLES DAMAGED LONDON, May 10. Petrol tanks burst and one big shed was destroyed, but the other was saved. It has been officially stated that no vehicles were damaged and a large number of tyres were saved. SOLDIER ARRESTED. LONDON, May 10. (Received May 11, at 11.5 a.m.) A soldier was remanded on. a charge of setting fire to the ordnance building.
