ELDERLY WOMAN INJURED. As a result of falling at her home, 911 Cumberland street, Alexandrin i Myer, an elderly woman, suffered injuries to her right thigh. She was admitted to the Hospital. BOY’S ARM FRACTURED. A fractured right arm was suffered by Graham M'Leod, a young boy, who lives at 9 Arthur street, as a result of a fall while playing at his home. He was admitted to. the Hospital at 8.15 p.m. on Saturday. MOTOR CYCLIST INJURED. As a result of a collision between a motor cycle and a motor van, the rider of the cycle, Charles Brice, a resident of Mosgiel, was admitted to the Hospital on Thursday night suffering from a fracture of the arm and leg. The accident occurred near the Fairfield brickworks. YOUNG GIRL SCALDED. Scalds on the right leg, the result of upsetting a pot‘ of 1 boiling water over herself, were suffered yesterday afternoon by Marjorie Cuff, who Uvea at 69 Fingall street, South Dunedin. She was admitted to the Hospital. FALL DOWN A BANK. A fractured right ankle, the result of falling down a bank at Taieri Beach yesterday, was suffered by William M'Donald, a middle-aged man, who lives at Balclutha. He was admitted to Hospital. STRUCK BY MOTOR CARS. After receiving medical attention at the Hospital, John Corbett, an elderly man, living at 102 Queen’s street, who was knocked down by a motor car at the corner of Regent road and Georg# street, was able to return to his home.. Struck by a motor car while crossing t'-e road at Brighton yesterday afternoon, Douglas Hall, a visitor from Christchurch, suffered injuries to hi# right hand. STUDENT’S KNEE INJURED. While playing basketball for Otago University in the university tournament this morning, Ivy Harrish, a young woman who lives at St. Helen’* Hostel, injured her right knee, and was admitted to the. Hospital. MAORI YOUTH" DROWNED. A farm hand, Tommy Paku,. % Maori, aged 17, was drowned on Friday afternoon at Homewood, 45' miles from Masterton. He was seen fishing from a rock at Kaiwhata Reef, and was later found to be missing. It is thought that he was washed out-to sea. A search' for the body was mad# by the police, but without success. BOY TRAPPED IN TUNNEL. . A boy of ll - years, Bruce Jenkins, of' 155 Harrison street, Wanganui, was killed on Sunday morning, when |i® was buried in a tunnel which he arid six other boys were digging in a sandy bank on St. John’s Hill. Jenkins was inside the tunnel whe*
a heavy fall of sand came from, the top of the bank. It took 10 men 20 min« utes to dig the body out. Artificial respiration was unsuccessful.
