(Received March 6, at 1.30 p.m.) The Prague correspondent of ‘ The Times ’ says tension is growing between Prague and Bratislava, but the temporarily interrupted negotiations are being resumed to-morrow. Meanwhile Slovak separatist tendencies, which Germany is believed to support, retard consolidation of the republic, on which Herr Hitler insists as a preliminary to guaranteeing the Czecho-Slovak frontiers. The Hlinka Guard, which is regarded as the nucleus of the Slovak arniy, mishandle Catholic priests and ransacked Jewish shops in the famous health resort of Pistany.
