The yarding numbered about 2,000, onethird fewer , than last year. The de-; crease was due to sellers anticipating! the mafketj and also to smaller draughts owing to the severe' winter. The top price of 18s 6d was realised! for lambs, but the trend of the market' was indicated by the fact that only; good! two-tooth ewes touched 12s. Sound ewes sold at 7s ■ and failing down to 6d.
