DUNEDIN JOCKEY CLUB.

TO THE EDITOIt. Sir, —As a visitor to Dunedin, I attended the Dunedin Jockey Club Meeting held at Wingatui on Thursday last and was very surprised to find, on leaving two coats which both shared the same hook in the cloak room, that I was charged one shilling for this privilege. Surely this charge is excessive, especially in view of the fact that there were only two attendants and patrons were forced to stand in a long queue before they could receive attention. Also I noticed on the check I received that the club would not be responsible for any loss incurred.—l am, etc., Visitor. February ]l.
