(Received February 1, at 8 a.m.) It is learned that Clarence Hatry has been released from Maidstone gaol and is living in Mayfair with his wife. [On January 24, 1930, after trial at the Central Criminal Court lasting several days, Clarence Charles Hatry, the city financier, was sentenced to 14 years’ penal servitude for what Mr Justice Avory described as most appalling frauds.]
