BURKES-ST. LEONARDS REGATTA

Arrangements in connection with tha forthcoming Burkes-St. Leonards reeetta, to be held on Saturday , are well under way. The committee (W. Trot, ter, president; G. E. King, W, G* Marr, A. Robb. I. Stevenson, and J* A. Kewish, secretary) has drawn up the following programme:—Four yacht races, one motor boat race, six rowing races, , and three model yacht races. A good, day’s sport is promised, and those attending will be provided with afternoon tea in the tea rooms at a small charge. The annual dance and presentation of prizes will be held in King George’s Hall. St. Leonards, at 8 p.m. The music will be supplied by .Hardv’a Dance Band. A free bus will leave the Queen’s Gardens at 8 p.m. and re* turn after the dance.
