SCHOOLS UNDER WAY [By Hooker.] The announcement of the Otago Boxing Association that a professional match will be held here on March 13 between Norman Jenkin, of ; Oamaru, and Norman Fishery of .Christchurch, has led to a stir of interest among the amateurs who will be called upon to provide the supporting bouts,'Und Vic. George David is another rugged fighter who won the novice light-weighe class last year, and it will be interesting to see how he shapes against the more experienced! lads in the open class.
Some new pupils in Pyster’s gym. will be Tyler (a brother of Norman Tyler who performed well in. Otago a few years ago), Rosie,- Grey, Kidd, Ikin, M'Kenderick, Devlin, and several other lads who may expect to enter novice competition this season. George Burgess, who was on the sick list last year, may also be looking for fights during the coming season.
