[From Oui; Balclutua Correspondent.] BOWLING. A meeting of the South Otago Bowling Centro was held last night, the chief business being tho selecting of a team to play Eastern Southland at Gore on Saturday. Mr J. T. Wilson presided over a good attendance of delegates and thanked members for his election as president, which he looked upon as an honour to.himself and his club. Ho also extended, a welcome to the new Owaka delegates (Messrs H. C. Alloo and W. J. Shcddon). A motion of appreciation to Messrs T. Sharp and W. Neill for services on the centre was also recorded.' The Secretary intimated that tho cost of a suitable bus from the Railway Department to convey 32 pi ayes was £2O 17s 6d, which would work out at 16s a man. —It was doided to make other arrangements. Culbcrt, Stiriling; E. Ransome, Milton; and C. J. Wood to be apiiroaclied regarding Balc.utha. ' It was decided that the Dunedin Centre v. South Otago Centre annual match be played on Kaitangata green on March 25, the Dunedin team to bo entertained at tea ift Balclutha. The champion of champions competition was fixed for Milton green on March 18, there to be five entries or no competition. Messrs Alloo and Shcddan thanked tho president and members for the welcome extended to them and also paid a tribute to the work done by tho Owaka Club’s former delegates (Messrs Sharp and Neill). Mr Alloo mentioned that Die Owaka" Club bad recently installed electric lighting on tho green with a view to having representative matches or tournament finals played there. 'lbey now bad the green in good order, and lie would like the Centro to consider making a grant towards the cost of the installation. The club was not very, strong financially and a grant would be appreciate'!.—lt was decided to make a grant of £'3.
