BELIEVED TO BE DEAD. The belief that Wilfred Jesse Heaven (36) a hairdresser, was dead, was expressed in the Wellington Supreme Court when he failed to answer to, bail upon which he had been released. He was to have appeared at the criminal sessions on four charges of committing offences against males. The Crown Prosecutor said that one of the conditions of accused’s release upon bail was that he was to report daily to the police. A towel and clothing which had been identified as his had been found on the beach at ■ Balena Bay, Wellington, some weeks ago and nothing had been heard from him since.—Press Association.
