SWIMMING
DUNEDIN CLUB’S CARNIVAL The Kiwi team for the flying squadron relay at the Dunedin Club’s swimming carnival next Wednesday night at the Municipal Baths will be chosen from the following:—C. Kidd, D. Reid, C. Sell, A. Thomas, AV. Dyson, O. Lawrence, and P. D. Young. The teams for the inter-club relay handicap have been selected as follows: —No. 1: D. Reid, Miss J. M'Culioch, Miss A. Brown, Miss M. Stewart: No. 2: A. Thomas, E. Dolan, I. Hall, and Miss E. Abernethy ; No. 3: W. Dyson, C. Lawrence, Miss I. Purdic, M. Taylor; No. 4: C. Kidd, C. Sell, P. D. Young, and Miss E. Goldthorpe. The Kiwi Club has collected the double in the water polo competition this year, for, besides winning the A grade competition with an unbeaten record, it has also won the B grade competition, the match with Kaikorai last night bringing the competition to a close. Zenith held a one-point lead but its defeat on Monday night by the improved St. Kilda team left the competition in an interesting position for the final game, Kiwi B defeating Kaikorai by 4 goals to 1. Mr J. Swan was the referee.
