(Received January 25, at 10.5 a.m.) Thirty detectives and 10 car-loads of police carried out massed raids on houses in Manchester throughout the night. It is believed that they seized documents relating to the bombings. Thomas Kelly, a tobacconist, was remanded to February 1 at Liverpool on a charge of being in the possession of four lewt kegs of potassium chlorate for an unlawful purpose. The police in evidence stated that the kegs were not found iu Kelly’s possession, but traces of potassium adhered to bags found on the premises.
