YOUNG WOMEN REVIVE WHEELBARROW CONTEST [Per United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, December 22. Reviving the wheelbarrow contests that were popular a few years ago, two young Wellington women, who declined to disclose their identity, took turns at pushing each other in a homemade go cart from Eerhampore to Wellington railway station last night. Not deterred by the ridicule of the picture theatre crowd in Newtown and the frailty of their go cart, which collapsed near the Basin Reserve, but was hastily patched up, they carried on gamely to tho finish, where they were given £5 each bv a man friend, who had wagered that they could not see the venture through. Near the General Post Office they were held up by a sergeant of police, who, entering into the spirit of tho contest, sent them on their course.
